If you have the time, please join me tomorrow at 1:00 PM EST when I discuss my books on #RRBC Beyond the cover talk radio. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ravereviewsbookclub
Don’t fret if you missed my live interview this afternoon…here’s an archived copy to listen at your leisure.
Hello,
My name is Laurie. My Twitter handle is @JUSTICEFORVETERANS?
I was just on your web sight, and I notice you publish Veteran’s stories, is that correct? My Dad was your Brother….
Sp4 John Nix US Army Vietnam 1969-70 4th ID and 1st Cav/ 18 months.
Were you the one who asked to publish my post a while back…or rather my posted story about my Dad? Has also been published by Jenny Lasala, who did Comes a Soldiers Whisper? If your posting stories…I’ve got one to share if possibly interested? It is about him, but also shows now far and wide the ripple effect Vietnam had on the families as well…still on going as I type almost 50 years later…it’s just so unbelievable still, to me personally. My life has been forever changed and my heart is broken.
Also, I believe I saw you also share, or publish artwork done by the Veteran’s themselves? If this is correct, I have 9 art books of my Dads work. He drew. Many reflecting Vietnam or how he felt about his time there. Beautiful and sometimes haunting. Many, many people, to include many Veteran’s have urged me to share them with the world, and that the world needs to see them. I do not know how I’d even do that, and am not ready to tear them from the books yet. I’ve taken pictures of them only thus far. Is this something that interests you at all? I’m trying to spread awareness anyway I can. The bigger the platform, the better. Im a Veteran advocate, for life now.
Thank you for your time Sir.
Respectfully, Laurie Colegrove….out in Oregon.

Laurie, Thanks for contacting. My website is a collection of stories, art, book reviews, videos, et al which are dedicated to spreading and maintaining the awareness of the Vietnam War and its warriors and promotions of my two published books. Many of the 300+ stories are my own, however, I’ve featured just as many guest posts as veterans want to share their stories. I’d be interested in reading your story about your father and to see his artwork…scanned photos are okay. Please send to my PM john.podlaski@gmail.com
I’d also encourage you to spend some time on my website and taking a look around. You may be surprised to see how many veterans may have had something in common with your father. Looking forward to hearing from you. / John
