When 200 NVA soldiers ambushed 6 Australians SAS Troops, it was a huge mistake. Watch this 25-minute video to see how it all played out.

Great but some of the photo’s had wrong weapons, also show patrol wearing slouch hats
which might have been from confrontation against the Indonesians. Us Aussies in all Army, Royal Australian Navy and Roy Australian Air Force wore giggle hats as you saw in some of the photo’s. I was posted RAAF Vung Tau 04Mar69-05Mar70 after serving at RAAF base Ubon Ratchathani Thailand Nov 67 to May 68

Where is HERE to press? Nothing happens. I saved an Aussie SF LRRP and have tried to get in touch with any of the 8 or so members of that team, but have been unsuccessful. I would love to know how to get in touch with them. I returned them to “Kangaroo Pad” at Nui Dat. I recovered them after their US Army H-1’s had left them, and the Army H-1C gunships had gone Winchester. I picked them up in my USAF UH-1N Twin Huey in early 1971. Loved it. Saw it once before. Really respect these troops that were out there in the jungle. The SAS were the best. I was in Thailand, in the Airforce for 2 years after I volunteered for Vietnam. Read all I can on the Vietnam War.
