Malcolm Browne’s photograph of the burning monk to Nick Ut’s picture of a nine-year-old girl running from a napalm attack, the Associated Press’s Saigon bureau captured the realities and tragedies of the Vietnam war. AP won six Pulitzer prizes for its war coverage, four for photography. WARNING: Some photos are extremely graphic and caution is advised.

Brings back memories buried deep in my mind. Not to cause my discomfort, but to bring back awareness of what it was about, wile I was to busy fighting to know what was happening!
Thank you!❤

Great pictures that bring back many memories. Horst Faas flew with me and my crew many times and many of them are the pictures shown in 65-66. He would fly in with the first lift and when we came back he would toss me a bag with rolls of shot film to take back and give it to an assistant at the take-off zone. Faas was a true professional that was a wonderful man to meet.
Thank you, sir. As Mr. Bannon states above, some of the text was sliced up/“truncated”, making it difficult for these old eyes to read. So, if it wouldn’t be much trouble and you do resend, would you please include me in the resubmission? It’s not a big deal, sir…I just wanted to share with others who like us, were also there. USMC Jun ‘66-Dec 69 (Vietnam Vet). As always, I sincerely appreciate each “installment” that you send us. God bless, brother.
Wow really brought me back to the days in the bush!! My brother was in the First Cav 66-67 then I went over with the Fourth Infantry 67-68
I don’t think my mom slept for two years! Thanks for sharing!!!
Ron Rowland–Friend, my best friend, WILLIS Sheumaler, Pablo, MT was assigned an aviation unit at Vinh Long 65-66 while I served in Highlands. Any chance you knew Willis, now deceased? He was a true friend and fine soldier–an E-5 Buck or SSG at the time? Please respond and tell me of duty at Vinh Long. Willis was helicopter maintenance but was highly decorated?
Sorry bro, but the comments are part of the photos and I can’t do anything about them. You seem to be the only person having difficulty. Did you try clicking onto each photo individually and then read the commentary?
Outstanding A++++

Brought back memories of the mid-60’s in Vietnam. Had interaction with Malcom Browne and Horst Faas. Legionary journalists.

Mike, please review my response to Mr. Bannon; you’re #2 with this problem. Are you trying to read it on a phone?

True but brings back horrible memories during my time as a door gunner in 1965, Vinh Long.

The captions for all the pictures had the bottom half of every line truncated. Very difficult to read. Any chance for a re-issue that works better?
