my brother died a couple years ago, but i think the people that get the pin should have been in viet nam. i have letters he wrote from viet nam, these letters will make you cry, what the men went through, they are not fancy and writing not perfect but you could feel what he went thru, from boot camp to viet nam. i would like a pin.

I had the opportunity to meet Danny Hull about three years ago. He lives in our neighborhood. Danny is a Vietnam Vet who served with an Army infantry unit. He became aware that they were looking for soldiers who could play musical instruments to join a group they planned on touring throughout Vietnam to entertain the troops. He applied and they retrieved a saxophone for his audition. He was accepted and spent the rest of his tour traveling around Vietnam for the remainder of his tour.
After his military service ended, he eventually played with several famous rock groups and other well known musical artists.
Danny is a great guy and a real patriot. You should reach out to him and see if he’d be willing to share his story.

George, don’t click on the link as there is a semicolon at the end that you can’t delete. Copy/paste and then use your own email app.

Shirley, I personally don’t know the answer, but it doesn’t hurt to try. When sending your email reference his name with your address. / John

I don’t agree that anyone who served during that time should. I think it should be restricted to those who served in country only.
